Meet our Principal

Principal: Mrs. Elaina Miller 

On behalf of the Cooks Corners Staff and myself, I would like to welcome you to Cooks Corners!  My husband and I live in Valparaiso and have three children:  Sadie  is studying nursing at IUPUI,  Luke is a 8th grader and Jake is a 6th grader at BF!  As a mom of 3 children and a former kindergarten and third grade teacher, I understand the importance of  every day your child spends at school.  Our mission is:

At Cooks Corners, students are empowered to achieve personal excellence while developing empathy, integrity and perseverance.

I wholeheartedly believe in this mission and work each day to help foster that development in all children. There are a few expectations that I have for teachers and students while at school that helps us to create a positive learning environment to achieve that mission:

I want all students to come to school feeling safe, loved and ready to learn!!  I’m so happy to join you in your child’s educational journey!  Welcome to Cooks!

Marley is a mini goldendoodle puppy in training with the goal of becoming a registered therapy dog. We are so excited to have him as part of the Cooks team!
